PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently lower the dust concn. of waste gas and to reconcile dust collecting performance and desulfurizing/denitrating performance. ;SOLUTION: The waste gas is supplied to plural preceding stage treating vessels, and the dust concn. is kept at less than a prescribed value by removing the dust in the waste gas by the filter medium falling at a moving layers 36a and 36b in the preceding stage treating vessels, and the waste gas after being lowered its dust concn. to the prescribed value is discharged to a line L2, and the waste gas discharged to a line L2 is supplied to a post stage treating vessel, and the dust remaining in the waste gas is removed by the filter medium falling at a moving layer 35 in the post stage treating vessel. The dust concn. at the outlet side and the dust concn. of the waste gas discharged from a stack is sufficiently lowered since the dust concn. at the inlet side of the post stage treating vessel is lowered by removing the dust at the preceding stage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
