PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reliable inspection for construction errors while reducing the effects of, if any, metal reinforcement. ;SOLUTION: In a method for inspecting the construction of a backfill for a renewal pipe, the backfilling mortar 4 of the renewal pipe 3 reinforced by placing metal reinforcement 5 along its circumferential direction is inspected for construction errors by use of an electromagnetic wave transmitting/receiving device 9 having an electromagnetic wave transmission means 10 for transmitting electric waves and a reflected electromagnetic wave reception means 11 for receiving the electromagnetic waves reflected from the subject.
