PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method and device for stably producing an large-sized oxide super conductive bulk material excellent in electrical and magnetic characteristics with good reproducibility.;SOLUTION: A large-sized rare earth metal (RE)-barium(Ba)-copper(Cu)- oxygen(O) based oxide super conductive bulk material uniform in crystallization orientation is obtained by satisfying one or more conditions of 0.5≤a/h, R/h≤0.7 and SR/Sh ≤0.49 when the height of an upper side heater 1 of a melt- crystallizing device is expressed by (a), the inside diameter is expressed by (h), the cross-sectional area is expressed by Sh, the diameter of a disk-like raw material mixing body is expressed by R and the surface area is expressed by SR, forming the temp. gradient of 0.01-0.4 °C/cm toward the outside (the direction apart from standard point) so that the center (a contact point of the seed crystal; the standard point) of a molding of the raw material mixing body is in the low temp. side and melt-crystallizing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
