PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a heat exchanger from being frozen and damaged even if cold fresh air flows into a hot-water supply machine from an exhaust cylinder by providing a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the heat exchanger and operating a freezing prevention means based on the detection temperature of the temperature sensor.;SOLUTION: A hot water supply path 13 and a bath path 14 are provided with temperature sensors 4A and 4B for detecting the temperature of a heat exchanger 2. Either one of the temperature sensors 4A and 4B for detecting the temperature of the heat exchanger 2 and a temperature sensor 4D for detecting exhaust temperature is installed and a freezing prevention means 11 may be operated based on the temperature sensor, or the freezing prevention means 11 may be operated when the temperature of either one of all temperature sensors reaches a specific freezing temperature. The freezing prevention means 11 includes heating by a heater 7, that of the heat exchanger 2 due to the combustion of a burner 3, and that by hot water remaining in a bath being circulated in the heat exchanger 2 caused by the drive of a circulation pump 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
