PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved device for separating respective layers of a multilayer film and also a method thereof, manufacture an improved packaging machine using the multilayer film, and a package with the multilayer film. SOLUTION: A device is used for separating respective layers 20 and 21 of a multilayer film 11 at least on edge areas, and the film 11 is provided with the first layer 20 and the second layer 21 bonded with the first layer by the limited strength, and the first layer 20 is provided with a section protruded from the second layer 21, and the separating device is provided with a means 40 of closing a given area of the film 11 to be separated from other areas, and the given area is an edge area including at least the protruded section of the first layer 20 for the purpose of separating respective layers, and a fluid feed means 38 for feeding a pressurized fluid set on the given area is provided.
