PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological deodorization apparatus, a biological deodorization method capable of carrying out treatment of object substances to be treated in a waste gas at stable treatment efficiency and to provide a method for efficiently cultivating the deodorization apparatus. SOLUTION: A first deodorization apparatus comprises a measurement means 7 capable of measuring concentrations of object substances to be treated in a waste gas and a supply means 8 capable of supplying the object substances in gas-phase to a waste gas. The culture method involves a process of gradually increasing the load of the deodorization apparatus with the object substances. A second deodorization apparatus comprises a measurement means capable of measuring a pH value of treatment water stored in a water storage part 6 and a supply means for supplying ammonia either between a packed-layer 3 and the water storage part 6 or to the water storage part 6.
