PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the driving speed of a piezoelectric element actuator and to shorten an overall treating time on a drive of the actuator including the time of a polarization treatment. ;SOLUTION: A relation acquiring part 15 makes a piezoelectric element 8 charge by an application of a charging pulse S1 before a real drive of the element 8 after a power supply is turned on, acquires the relation between a pulse number of charging and a charged voltage which is shown by a charged voltage detecting signal S2, and stores the relation between the pulse number for charging and the charged voltage in a voltage/pulse conversion table 13. A control part 11 finds the quantity of a voltage equivalent to a displacement quantity input 21 of the element 8 from a previously set displacement quantity/voltage conversion table 14 at the time of a real drive of the element 8, converts the pulse number for charging to correspond to the charged voltage on the basis of the relation stored in the table 13, and applies pulses for charging of the pulse number for charging to a base of a switching transistor 2 to perform a drive of the element 8 while the element 8 is controlled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
