PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform excellently functional and effective illumination. ;SOLUTION: This illumination device of a freezing, refrigerating and non- refrigerating showcase is constituted of a light emitting body 8 disposed inside a case main body 2 in a transparent rod shape whose diameter is about 20-40 mm integrally formed by acrylic resin or the like for instance, a light source device 9 provided in a light source housing part 43 formed inside a side frame 42 for constituting the side wall part 4 of the case main body and a mirror finished surface body 10 for making light emitted by the light source device 9 be incident directly from the end face part 8a of the light emitting body 8. By such constitution, the light is hardly attenuated from the light source device 9 to the light emitting body 8. Thus, even when the light emitted by the light source device 9 is not specially strong, the light irradiated from the light emitting body 8 holds sufficient illuminance as the one for the illumination inside the case and an illumination function is improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
