PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for arranging magnets on the rear side of an inclined chute and a magnetic raw material segregation device used therein in which although this method can be easily adopted at a low price, magnetic flux density on the surface of an inclined chute can be surely and gradually enlarged from upstream side toward the downstream side, and segregation can surely occur in the magnetic raw material. ;SOLUTION: Distances L1, L2, L3 and L4 between plural belt like magnets 19, 20, 21 and 22 arranged on the rear side of an inclined chute 13 and the surface of the inclined chute 13 are set respectively so that those on the downstream side is made smaller than those on the upstream side, and also the volumes of the belt like magnets 19, 20, 21 and 22 are set so that those on the downstream side are made larger than those on the upstream side, thereby magnetic flux density on the surface of the inclined chute 13 is gradually enlarged from the upstream side toward the downstream side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
