PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely hermetically seal a bag mouth without making wrinkles in it, by, in the course of folding gussets, primarily bonding portions of each gusset part on both sides folded one on the other with a crease middle between them, finishing the folding of the bag mouth, and, further, thereafter entirely bonding the bag mouth for sealing it. ;SOLUTION: An item C is put into a bag B provided with inwardly foldable gusset parts G, and right and left push-in pieces 28 and 29 are caused to approach each other, thereby pushing the crease middles P of the gusset parts G on both the sides and folding the gussets parts G toward the opposite gussets. When the gusset parts G are brought into parallel contact with both upper and lower sides of the corresponding push-in pieces, 28 and 29, in the course of folding them, the mutual approach of the push-in pieces 28 and 29 is stopped, an impulse current is caused to flow instantaneously between the electrodes of the upper and lower bonding heads 33, and both upper and lower portions of the gusset parts G folded one on the other with the crease middle P between them are primarily bonded. Then, the right and left push-in devices 28 and 29 are separated from each other, a mouth bag is folded until it is closed completely, and the bag mouth is entirely bonded to be sealed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
