PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a black polyester yarn and a black polyester monofilament having hydrolytic resistance, to provide a method for producing the black polyester yarn, to obtain an industrial woven fabric such as a papermaking dryer canvas, etc., using the polyester monofilament and a black polyester master batch preferably useful for the black polyester yarn. ;SOLUTION: This black polyester yarn comprises a polyester composition obtained by adding 0.001 pt.wt. to 20 pts.wt. of carbon black and 0.01 pt.wt. to 1.5 pts.wt. of a carbodiimide compound in an unreacted state to 100 pts.wt. of the total of (A) 80-99.9 wt.% of a polyester and (B) 0.1-20 wt.% of at least one or more kinds of thermoplastic resins selected from a styrene-based polymer, an olefin-based polymer and a methacrylate-based polymer and has ≤10 equivalents/106 g terminal carboxy group concentration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
