PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method for a water leakage position by a portable water leakage position detecting device capable of automatically judging the presence or absence of a water leakage for processing.;SOLUTION: This portable water leakage position detecting device connectable to a sensor 1 is provided with a main body 2, a high-precision frequency analyzing circuit 3, a switch circuit 4, an energy time integrating circuit 5, an energy time integration characteristic calculating circuit 7, a level display circuit 8 and a timer 6. In this detecting method for a water leakage position, the presence or absence of a water leakage is automatically judged by the high-precision frequency analyzing circuit 3, the energy in the measuring unit time of the output signal of the sensor 1 is time-integrated for each extremely short measuring unit time synchronously with the pulse from the timer 6 for the measurement point judged to have a water leakage, and the aging effect characteristic of the energy time integration value is obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
