PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible joint for joining a sewer conduit to a manhole and a structure of the junction of the sewer conduit and the manhole which enable reliable construction of an excellent junction by uniform joining work without necessitating specific technique and expertise for the joining work. ;SOLUTION: In a flexible joint for joining a sewer conduit 7 to a manhole 2, an adhesive layer 3 having a width almost equal to the wall thickness (t) of the manhole 2 is provided outside the base part of a flexible heat-shrinkable tube 1, and an adhesive layer 4 is provided inside the heat-shrinkable tube 1 except a portion in the base part having a width almost equal to the wall thickness (t) of the manhole 2. A junction of the sewer conduit 7 and the manhole 2 for which the flexible joint is used is made to have a structure wherein the adhesive layer 3 outside the heat-shrinkable tube 1 is pressed in close contact on a hole-cut wall 5 of the manhole 2 by a spacer 6 given a force of extending the diameter constantly and, moreover, wherein the sewer conduit 7 is brought into close contact with the heat-shrinkable tube 1 being shrunk by heating.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
