An antiskid brake controller for controlling a braking operation of a wheel (30) of a vehicle based on a wheel speed signal provided by a wheel speed sensor (32) coupled to the wheel, the controller comprising: slip ratio estimator means (34) for estimating a speed of the vehicle and a slip ratio between the wheel speed and the speed of the vehicle based substantially exclusively on the wheel speed signal provided by the wheel speed sensor and a predefined model of a mu-slip ratio curve; means for comparing the estimated slip ratio with a predefined desired slip ratio to generate an error signal; and integral controller means (36) for integrating the error signal to provide a control signal for adjusting a brake force applied to the wheel. 2750 ו' בתשרי התשס" ג - September 12, 2002
