A smoking article smokable filler material comprising as a fuel component a proportion of a non-tobacco, plant material such as fruit, seed, flower or nit of the plant which has an initially high fat or high oil content is claimed. The filter material comprises 5-50 wt% high fat or high oil containing material, 25-80 wt% of non-combustible inorganic filler, 5-25 wt% of a binder, and 2-30 wt% of an aerosol generating source.
