A method for modernization of plant for producing urea plant consisting of urea synthesis reactor, stripping-unit with carbon dioxide and at least onevertical condenser of a film type; said method provides with facilities for supplying the main part of the flow with ammonium and carbon dioxide in the vapor phase which leaves the stripping-unit to the condenser and provides said condenser with facilities for using mainly complete condensation of this main part of the flow with ammonium and carbon dioxide in the vapor phase obtaining the flow with urea and carbamate in the aqueous solution beingsupplied thereafter to the urea synthesis reactor. Due to this method for modernization the condenser efficiency has been considerably increased thus providing an increase in power thereof.
