A new automatic system for surfacing and rounding off rotating parts that consists in mounting, on a revolving faceplate 7 fitted to an automatic machine for machining grinding wheels 1, a grinding wheel 20 mounted horizontally to the plate, being fixed by a clamp 8 and acting directly on its side 21, a head 9 and, at the same time, on its face 24, a head 10, with the grinding wheel 20 being positioned on a side 22 and the head 9 acting directly on this side 22 and, optionally, at the same time, the head 10 acting on its face 24.
