The grinder has a carriage (4) for driving on a carriage surface (3). A rotary grinding disk (6) is displaceable in a machining depth (T) under a concrete surface. The grinding disk is rotatably arranged parallel to the concrete surface. A screening unit is connected with a round, high sensible laser detector (7), where the machining depth of the grinding disk is automatically controlled by the screening unit. The grinding disk extends upto a circumferential edge of a housing. A depth sensor (1) is connected with the screening unit.
