The new compound 2,6,9,13-tetraaza(14)metacyclophane of molecular formula C16H28N4 and the procedure for preparation thereof. The new compound 2,6,9,13-tetraaza(14)metacyclophane of molecular formula C16H28N4, the preparation of which is carried out in the form of ammonium bromohydrate by the reaction of the corresponding N-tosylate derivative with bromohydric acid in acetic acid and phenol. The N-tosylate derivative is in turn obtained from the tosylate polyamine N,N',N",N"'-tetraquis(p- tolylsulphonyl) 71,5,8,12-tetraazadodecane by reaction with 1,3-bis(bromomethyl)benzene in acetonitrile as solvent and using potassium carbonate as base.
