Process for preparing 2, 6, 9, 13-tetraaza (14) metacyclophane. 2, 6, 9, 13-tetraaza (14) metacyclophane (I), is prepared as ammonium hydrobromide derivative by reacting the corresponding N-tosylated with hydrobromic acid in acetic acid and phenol. N-tosyl derivative is both obtained from the tosylated polyamine N, N '', N '' '' '', N '' '' '' '' '- tetrakis (p-tolylsulfonyl) -1 , 5,8,12-tetraazadodecane by reaction with 1,3-bis (bromomethyl) benzene in acetonitrile as solvent and using potassium carbonate as base. This product and its preparation has not been described to date.
