The invention relates to a system for recognising and controlling driving mechanisms, comprising one or several driving mechanisms (4), each of said driving mechanisms being provided with a printed-circuit board (6) bearing identification information identifying the driving mechanism; a connecting line (8, 10) between the printed-circuit board (4) and a control unit (12) which controls the operation of the driving mechanisms, and a device in said control unit (12) which scans the driving mechanism identification information and sets the machine parameters accordingly.
