PURPOSE: A television having the function of watching today's fortune is provided to display the fortune of the wanted date in characters if a user inputs his birthday. CONSTITUTION: The television comprises: a memory piece(50) for memorizing a program for watching day's fortune; a decoding piece(55) for decoding the fortune data outputted from the memory piece(50) as character signals; a display piece(70) for displaying the outputted character signals; a control piece(65) for controlling all of the pieces(50, 55, 70); and a key input piece for inputting the birthday of a user to watch today's fortune.
