FIREPROOF BRICK FOR TORPEDO LADLE CAR AND LADLE, AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING OXIDATION OF CARBON

PURPOSE: A fireproof brick for torpedo ladle car and ladle and a preparation method thereof are provided, for increasing the life of the brick by preventing the oxidation of carbon in the brick. CONSTITUTION: The surface of the fireproof brick is coated with an antioxidant layer with the thickness of 0.2-1.0 mm for preventing of the oxidation of carbon. The antioxidant preferably comprises SiO2 of 30-75 weight part, Na2O and K2O of 6-20 weight part, B2O3 of 10 weight part or ZrO2 of 60 weight part, Al2O3 of 1-10 weight part, and the balance of inevitable impurities. The fireproof brick is prepared by coating the surface with the antioxidant; and preheating the brick at a temperature between 700 and 1500C to form a glass-phase coating film by glazing.
