SEMICONDUCTOR MEMORY DEVICE HAVING STABLE DATA MASKING SCHEME AND DATA MASKING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A semiconductor memory device having a stable data masking scheme and its data masking method are provided to sufficiently precharge pairs of input/output lines in a write-data masking operation and to thereby stably perform the write-in data masking operation. CONSTITUTION: A pulse signal generator generates a pulse signal in response to a data masking signal inputted through one of data masking pins. A plurality of equalizers(E0-E7) equalize a pairs of input/output lines in response to the pulse signal. A plurality of first precharge circuits(L0-L7) precharge all of the pairs of input/output lines in response to the pulse signal. A plurality of second precharge circuits(P0-P7) equalize and precharge corresponding pairs of input/output lines among pairs of input/output lines in response to the data masking signal inputted through the corresponding pin among data masking pins.
