PURPOSE: A charnel house and a construction method for a charnel house are provided to keep human remains in vacuum state and reduce the cost of maintenance. CONSTITUTION: A construction method for a charnel house comprises the steps of, constructing the foundation floor after pasting mortar and concreting; constructing the bed floor by inserting a bed stone in the upper part of concrete with stone pipe(26) forming the column stone after concreting mortar; constructing the wall stone after inserting the wall stone into the bed stone and the column stone; laying styrofoam on mortar(2) and then concreting; constructing inside floor after concreting mortar and filling with oak charcoal; inserting a partition stone into the wall, floor stone; constructing the remains laying room after installing a chest supporting stone on the both side of a partition stone; inserting a roof supporting stone in the upper part of a column, wall stone; laying a ceiling stone(19) in the inside and concreting and then constructing the ceiling stone, laying styrofoam on the upper part of concrete and concreting mortar and then constructing the roof stone; and constructing a gate door.
