The cutter feed for a wood cutter has a pressure source with a cross flow feed at its lower end to enter cutting work in a supply passage. A cross flow nozzle (11) is arranged at the lower end of the flow passage opening to pressure feed the work to a cutter inlet in the upper part of the cutter ring. The supply passage has guide plates (8a,b) at each side.
