Sunburn advance warning method responds to alteration in reflection characteristics of exposed skin for exhibiting visible alteration providing direct visual warning before sunburn occurs

The advance warning method uses an auxiliary device which responds to a change in the reflection spectrum of the exposed skin and exhibits a visible alteration when the reflection spectrum reaches a threshold value, for providing a visual warning indication, e.g. when the reflection of the exposed skin drops by 5% in the wavelength range between 400 and 650 nm. An Independent claim for an advance warning device for sunburn is also included.
