The water feed device (10) is provided by a swirl chamber (11) acting as a water tank with an inlet (17) for receiving water from a water reservoir and at least one opposing outlet for depositing water onto an evaporation surface of the air humidifier. The swirl chamber contains an impact chamber (25) with at least one impact surface positioned above the inlet and an outlet (30,31) leading to the swirl chamber. An Independent claim for an application of a water feed device in an air humidifier is also included.
