Production of homogeneous alloy mixtures comprises pressing a part of the alloying components into individual ingots, connecting the ingots to form a fusible electrode, fusing the electrode at a sub-pressure atmosphere in a recasting furnace and charging to solidified ingots, melting the charged ingots in a cold wall crucible arrangement, and cooling the melt below the melt solidifying temperature.
