Device for transmission and processing of data form utility meters central processing unit; uses power supply line for bi-directional data exchange between CPU and utility meters

An electrical connection is as a 230V power supply line of a power supply network between the central processing unit (4) and the meters (2,3). The central processing unit (4) and the meters (2,3) in each case include transmission and reception device for transmitting the consumer data and the bidirectional data exchange via the power supply line. Connections (9,10) can be formed as radio connections, so that the data exchange between central processing unit (4) and evaluation unit (11) or the further evaluation unit (12) can be effected by device of radio. Furthermore, it is possible that connections (9,10) as well are formed as power supply lines of a power supply system. In this instance available lines of the power supply system for the data transmission are used.
