The rail vehicle control determines the required characteristic for the absolute positions and/or the relative positions of the individual vehicles (1,2) required to rendezvous, together with the corresponding vehicle velocities, for regulation of the vehicle positions and velocities, e.g. using trackside sensors (4) for measuring the actual vehicle positions and velocities.
