The method involves connecting the ends of the rods at an angle to each of their central longitudinal axes. The rod sections are radially pivoted or axially displaced, without a relative rotation into their common coaxial operation positions, tightly against pulling, pushing or rotating forces. Preferably, a tongue-shaped extension in the end of one extension is locked into a recess in the end of the other extension. An Independent claim is included for a coupling for the method.
