There is a torque control device controlling the torque applied by the engine at a required power, and a controller for the electrical generators, which controls, by feedback, the power transmitted by a drive shaft connecting the engine output shaft and the electrical generators. The hybrid vehicle comprises an internal combustion engine and at least one electrical motor-generator connected mechanically together, and connected to the vehicle's wheel drive shaft. The output device includes a torque control device (190) controlling the torque applied by the IC engine at a required power, and a controller for the electrical motor-generators (MG1, MG2). This controls by feedback the power transmitted by a drive shaft (127) connecting the output shaft of the IC engine (150) and the electrical motor-generators via an epicyclic gear train (120).
