Particularly for a spacious limousine, the vehicle seat has a cushion (11) and a back rest (12) pivotable around an axis (13). The back rest is provided with a backwardly pivotable head support (17). For additional loading space, the back rest is foldable with its front side onto the seat surface of the cushion. The seat cushion and the back rest with its pivot axis are accommodated in a seat frame (10) fixed to the vehicle floor. The seat cushion is provided with two lateral arm supports (20). In the folded position of the back rest onto the seat cushion, the backwardly pivoted head rest, the stop components (15) of the seat frame and the arm supports acts as securing components for loaded material, preventing it slipping from the rear side (122) of the downwardly folded back rest.
