The manipulation robot has at least 2 robot arms moved in synchronism and in parallel with the arms of a carer, to allow lifting and handling of a heavy load, e.g. a patient, each robot arm pivoted for simulating the normal movements of a human arm and attached to the latter via clamps incorporating movement sensors.
