The current source has a first transistor with its control connection connected to a reference current circuit (65), a second transistor receiving a first current, a third transistor with its control connection connected to that of the first transistor and its second connection producing a second current, a fourth transistor receiving the second current and providing a third current, a fifth transistor with its control connection concerted to that of the third transistor and providing a fourth current and a voltage bias stage (90) connected to the fourth and fifth transistors so that voltages on the first and second connections of the fourth and second transistors respectively coincide. An Independent claim is also included for a current mirror for delivering a defined current to a load element, a temp. detection element and a band-gap element.
