The convertible bed/sofa has a back cushion (19) behind which, in a seat position, is an upright extra cushion (12) which, in a recliner position, extends the recliner cushion. The extra cushion is linked to a pull-out section (2) retractable from the furniture frame (1), and guided by side arms (9) along guides (11). The end of the pull-out section facing the extra cushion is guided along curved guides (4). The ends of the arms also guided along curved guides and facing the extra cushion are joined by pulling or pushing bars (8) to the pull-out section. The seat cushion (17) is swivel mounted on the pull-out section. The extra cushion is joined by connecting rods (14,18) to the pull-out section and to the seat cushion.
