Easily converted bed-settee with fixedly connected support frame - has extra extending guide rail and support members for lower cushion unit

The convertible seat unit comprises a seat with two upholstered cushions (6, 8) so that when the unit is used as a seat they rest one on top of each other connected together along their front edges. The lower cushion (6) is adapted to be extended to form the bed by means of two guide rails (5) on the underneath of the lower cushion (6) and are guided in the rails (4) of the supporting frame (2). Two further support members or roller feet (7) at the front end of the guide rails (5) support the front of the lower cushion (6). The upper cushion (8) is slightly thicker than the lower one so that when it is unfolded 180 deg. to form the end length of the bed it rests flat on the ground but level with the surface of the lower seat cushion. A loose back-rest cushion (9) fills the gap formed at the top end on extending the cushions.
