The latent heat accumulator in pressureless, static format for heating installations or similar has a heat accumulator medium and heat transmission medium for accommodation of heat energy from different heat sources. The inner accumulator body (10) comprises an industrially manufactured cylindrical concrete body, under which a foundation plate (11) is cast, which extends so far outwards that the insulating layer (12) and the outer solid absorber wall (13) can locate on it. To avoid accumulator losses through the base (14) of the accumulator, the foundation plate is insulated with foam glass (15). In the foundation plate is at least one pipe coil (16) of an outer heat exchanger (17). Immediately above the foundation plate is an open heat carrier distributor (1) with equally distributed, downwardly inclined holes, via which heat carrier fluid can be removed at the deepest point.
