An opening for probe exchange is provided on the specimen pipe (1) in which the specimen (10a,10b) is mounted. Extraction and insertion of the probe (2a,2b), which holds the specimen, is performed through the opening. The heat mechanical-analysis apparatus measures a shape change of a specimen accompanied by a change of temperature, load or both as a function of temperature or load.
