The wiper unit has a linkage comprising a five-part guide base mechanism (1-5), driven by two parts of a further four part drive mechanism (1,2,5-8) or uneven transfer mechanism. Two driven parts (2,5) simultaneously form part of the guide and drive mechanisms. A rotation motor drives one link part (7). The windscreen wiper is connected to a coupling part, which is connected by an additional part (10) to a driven guide part (5) and to a further part directly connected to an adjacent part (4).
