The large fire extinguisher method has an aircraft engine which can move on a platform (B) and mounted on a lorry (E). In a first extinguisher step, a mix of powder and fumes are ejected from the engine to extinguish the fire. During a second stage, cooling fluids and fumes ejected from the aircraft engine are used to reduce the fire temperature. The system is remote controlled.
