The vessel has a tubular body (1) closed (2) at the bottom and open at the top. A conical separating wall (3) divides the vessel into upper and lower chambers. The incoming drainage is delivered into the mouth of the separator, and impurities collect in the bottom of the vessel. The water outlet (4) is high up the wall of the vessel. The collected impurities can be remotely monitored (8,9).
