Each player, P1, P2, is required to wear some form of identification tag, which transmits signals to "The Tracker," 1, which determines the ball and players positions. The system determines whether a player is offside, optionally if the linesman presses a button, and informs the linesman by for example emitting a sound. "The Tracker" may be mounted on a track, 2, in order to move with the play.
