Plasma display with specific thermal expansion coefficients for substrate ribs and dielectric layer

A plasma display panel having a glass substrate, a dielectric layer over the glass substrate and one or more barrier ribs over the dielectric layer, and a method of manufacturing thereof. In the plasma display panel, the thermal expansion coefficients of the glass substrate and the barrier ribs are greater than that of the dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is 80˜83×10.sup.-7 /° C. and the glass substrate and barrier ribs are 84˜87×10.sup.-7 /. degree. C. in thermal expansion coefficient.
