PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the newly formed levees from being collapsed by setting a pretreatment unit in front of a levee coating unit in a levee coater so that it may scrape the soil of levee base stepwise from the levee base to the paddy surface, shallowly on the side of the levee base and deeply on the side of the paddy surface. ;SOLUTION: A levee coater is provided with a pretreatment unit which is attached on the front side of a levee-coating unit and scrapes the soil of the levee base on paddy surface side. The pretreatment unit is equipped with a scraping blade on a rotary shaft so that the blade may scrape the soil stepwise, shallowly on the levee base side and deeply on the paddy surface or with another scraping blade which can scrape the soil in steps inclined toward the levee base side, shallowly on the levee base side and deeply on the paddy surface. Or the rotary shaft and the scraping blade are inclined so that it goes down on the levee base side to scrape the soil in steps inclined on the levee base side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
