PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional work method for ridge forming, wherein the change of a travel direction such as a rearward travel, of a travel machine is necessary for the ridge-forming work of a field corner, and the operations of the travel machine and a ridge-shaping machine are complicated and works can not be smoothly performed.;SOLUTION: The work method for forming ridge uses a ridge-forming machine having a ridge-forming work portion and mounted on a travel machine such as tractor, to perform the work, and has a ridge-forming work which forms a ridge, while the travel machine travels and enlarges a distance between the travel machine and the ridge before the travel machine is turned by an angle of 90 degrees and simultaneously performs a ridge-forming work at an approximately orthogonal field corner; a ridge-forming work which turns the travel machine at an angle of 90 degrees and simultaneously forms a ridge at the approximately orthogonal field corner; and a ridge-forming work which forms a ridge, while the travel machine travels and reduces a distance between the travel machine and the ridge after the travel machine is turned at an angle of 90 degrees and simultaneously performs a ridge-forming work at the approximately orthogonal field corner.
