PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the level of noise generated by a belt and to increase the life of the belt. ;SOLUTION: A belt for a belt type non-stage transmission is formed in such a way that many plate shaped elements 2 having recessed parts 2a 2a in one side of a central part in a width direction of a belt and protruding parts 2b in an opposed position in an opposite side to the recessed parts 2a to be fitted to the recessed parts 2a of other element 2 are superposed in the direction of thickness of the plates and arranged in an annular shape and they are connected together by two flexible rings so that they are not separated mutually. The recessed part 2a and the protruding part 2b of each element 2 is formed in such shapes as to regulate the relative rotation of the elements 2 in a state of the protruding part 2b of one element 2 fitted to the recessed part 2a of the other element 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
