PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly covert chord constitution tones to chords of four-tone constitution even if just four kinds of the chord constitution exist in the playing data and to form the natural playing data free of a musically odd feel by properly changing the processing to form the four chord constitution tones according to the characteristics (a base system, piano system, guitar system, etc.), of a playing part. ;SOLUTION: The chord information of the playing data not including the fourth chord constitution tone inputted by a playing data input means is extracted by a chord information extracting means. The chord information including the fourth chord constitution tone is supplied by a chord information supplying means. After the musical tone information corresponding to the fourth chord constitution tone is formed by a fourth chord constitution tone forming means in accordance with the supplied chord information, the pitch of the playing data is converted in accordance with the extracted chord information and the supplied chord information by a converting means, by which the playing data is correctly converted to the chords including the fourth chord constitution tone and the converted playing data is outputted by an output means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
