PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of the device as a whole by preparing a convergence correction current with utilization of a horizontal deflection current and vertical deflection current and with use of a simple construction. ;CONSTITUTION: Each of first to fourth coils L1 to L4 is wound around a first core 2 and a horizontal deflection current is supplied to the bridge connection first to fourth coils L1 to L4 to prepare a substantially parabolic waveform current having a horizontal cyclic period. This substantially parabolic waveform current is further supplied to bridge connection fifth to eighth coils L5 to L8. A convergence correction coil LC is connected to a bridge center of the fifth to eighth coils L5 to L8. The fifth and sixth coils L5 and L6 which are located at mutually diagonal positions, respectively, of the fifth to eighth coils L5 to L8 are wound around a second core 3 having a biasing coil LB turned therearound. A vertical deflection current is supplied to the biasing coil LB to make the inductance of the fifth and sixth coils L5 and L6 variable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
